I'm Trevor Parsons, and I’ve had two mental breakdowns in my life. My love of nature and photography helped me recover. Now I am raising the awareness of how good nature and photography is for your mental wellbeing.
I’ve written blogs on the subject for Julia Bradbury, The Mind Charity and for Dr Mayers, the Head of Mental Health for Bournemouth University, and I also gave a presentation at the University in October 2019.
Since seeking Simon King's advice at his Wildlife Roadshow back in 2017 I’ve become a member of the Royal Photographic Society and a Getty Photographer.
I’ve been published six times since 5th May last year - my first published work was in The Times newspaper. I’ve had 100k likes on Facebook, and I’ve been interviewed at Forest FM in Dorset, on BBC Radio Solent and at BBC Somerset Radio by Simon Parkin. Jessops, RSBP nature’s voice, Simon Parkin and Levi Roots follow me on Twitter - Levi has kindly given me some advice. I am also featuring in the July 2020 edition of the Hampshire and Dorset living magazines; together they’ve a readership of 114,400 and have 590 magazine outlets.
